Jupally visits Balanagar Industrial area

Minister for Industries Jupally Krishna Rao today participated in the Industry Interactive Session on “Micro and Small Enterprises Cluster Development” organized by Geetha Nagar, Navjeevan Nagar, Micro Industrial Association in the Balanagar Industrial Area.

Earlier in the morning, the minister visited the Elico Industries, an electronic goods manufacturing unit, which promotes mobile soil testing vans and other electronic equipment supplied to the Telangana government and the Centre. He was impressed with the range of products that the company was making and wished they would become a major player in the “Make in Telangana” brand.

Later, the minister participated in the interactive session at the MSME Development Institute, Balanagar. Local MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao, MSME Director Chandra Sekhar, Pollution Control Board Member S.V. Raghu, Sudhir Reddy and Gopal Rao of TIF ( Telangana industrialists Federation) and others also participated.

Speaking on the occasion, Chandrasekhar said MSME conducts training programs, Awareness Programs, Development of Micro and Small Industries, Promotional Activities for 10,000 participants in 2014-15 in some 40 to 50 clusters. He also said the MSME grants up to 1.5 lakh for participation in international trade fairs besides giving grants up to Rs 25 crore for cluster development.

The Geethanagar Navjeen Micro Industrial Association welcomed the Minister and urged him to sanction Infrastructure development fund to relocate and expand Micro and Small Industrial units in Geetha nagar and Navjeevan Nagar in Balanagar and in Ranga Reddy district at Ravalkol in Medchal Mandal. They also submitted a representation to the minister for exemption of land conversion charges from conservation use zone to Industrial use zone from HMDA.

Speaking on the occasion, Kukatpally MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao appreciated Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s concept of two-bedroom apartments for the benefit of the poor and homeless. (NSS)
