Jupally to stay with the Congress

Mahbubnagar, October 28: Former Minister Jupally Krishna Rao on Thursday denied rumours of him joining the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.

Talking to media persons, Jupally Krishna Rao said that there was no truth in the reports that appeared in a section of media stating that he would be joining the TRS on November 4. He described the reports as ‘baseless’ and ‘far from truth’. “There is no question of joining TRS anytime and I will continue in the Congress party only,” he said.

Alleging that vested elements have launched a campaign against him, Jupally said that he was planning to file a defamation petition against them to put an end to such baseless speculations. There were reports in a section of media that Jupally would resign from the Congress party on November 1 to coincide with the TRS MLAs Deeksha at Indira Park.

Jupally announced that he would join the indefinite fast of former minister Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy at Nalgonda starting on November 1 for the cause of statehood for the Telangana region.
