Junior Chidambaram wanted to order on Swiggy, Zomato while in CBI custody?

Karti Chidambaram after being arrested on Wednesday wanted to allegedly fly via business class to Delhi, now he allegedly wants to order food from Swiggy and Zomato while being in CBI’s 5-day custody. The Patiala House Court of Delhi had sent the son of former Finance Minister, P. Chidambaram, in custody till March 5 on Thursday.

The News Minute quoted the officers as saying that Karti has been throwing tantrums while in custody. Karti was arrested on the grounds of allegedly taking a bribe from INX media, supporting them to get a clearance from FIPB.

Karti is reportedly throwing tantrums since his arrest. He first wanted to have an upgrade on the flight but could be resisted by CBI officials. He also tried to persuade the Jet Airways staff for acting upon his request.

After Karti was taken into CBI’s custody, he requested for home-cooked food, and when the court had denied this request, he reportedly came up by saying “I hope your investigating officer will have Swiggy or Zomato to order food. I am planning to make full use of it.” When the CBI denied this as well, Karti replied saying “Then you will have to get Swiggy or Zomato.”

He also reportedly refused to remove his gold ornaments. In addition to this, Karti communicated with his friend in Tamil, when a CBI official asked him to communicate in English, he said: “If that is the case, even you should speak in English with each other when I am there.”

The CBI official then reportedly replied saying “You are in custody, not us.”
