Vijayawada, January 01: Secondary Education Minister K Parthasarathy stated that the state government has decided to introduce ‘jumbling system’ in the Intermediate practical examination from the current academic year.
Talking to media persons, Parthasarathy said that the government would introduce the jumbling system first on experimental basis in the Government junior colleges. Based on the feedback, he said the government would extend the jumbling method to all other colleges in the state to check malpractices.
Under the jumbling system, he said the candidates have to write examinations in different centres unlike the earlier practice of all students of a particular college writing the test in one centre. Though the government decided to introduce the system from last year, the government deferred its decision due to lack of infrastructure facilities in the government run colleges, he said.
“The government wants to maintain high standards in the model schools by providing proper infrastructure facilities and teaching faculty members,” he said adding that 355 model schools would be set up in the next academic year. (INN)
