Judicial Powers for Wakf Board demanded during a public meeting at Kareem Nagar

Hyderabad: Protection and Development of Wakf Properties Committee of Kareem Nagar organized a public meeting at Kareem Nagar on Sunday.

Addressing the meeting, Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, Managing Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily told that if all the Muslims get united, the issues of illegal possessions of wakf properties could be resolved. He further said that India is the best country in the entire world. Muslims should not think that they are weak in raising the voice of truth.

He pointed out that our ancestors have left more than 80 thousand wakf properties, the income of which exceeds the Defence Budget of our country. Despite this, do we need financial aid from the Govt.?

The illegal possessions on wakf properties are the results of connivance of our leaders. The same leaders are creating hurdles in the restoration of wakf properties.

He advised the Muslims to get united and struggle for the right cause evaluating the importance of their vote.

He mentioned that in Telangana and AP, there are many illegal possessions. In Kareem Nagar itself, a major wakf property is under the illegal possession of an MLA. He said that he felt delighted when Muslims and non-Muslims are attending this wakf conference.

Prof. P L Vishweshwar Rao told that most of the wakf properties are in illegal possessions. He demanded the Govt. to give judicial powers to Wakf Board which was promised in TRS election manifesto.

Mr. Osman bin Mohammed Al-Hajri highlighted the struggle of the organization and mentioned that the guidance and patronage of Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily and said that the organization rehabilitated many masajids.

Mr. Tanveer Abdul Khaliq told that in Warangal, there is 9,500 acres of wakf land which is under illegal possession. He requested the Wakf Development Committee to take action.

Mr. Abdur Rahman, Dr. Islamuddin Mujahid and others also addressed the gathering.
