At a time when even the most honest persons are getting influenced by rampant corruption, a judge of Hyderabad has turned down an offer of Rs. 40 crore as bribe.
According to anti-corruption sources Judge B Naga Maruthi Sharma was offered the bribe by Janardhan Reddy’s close relative for granting bail to Gali Janardhan Reddy but he politely refused.
B Naga Maruthi Sharma is heading the CBI second special additional court in Hyderabad. He was earlier the first CBI special court judge investigating into the illegal mining case against former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy.
