Jubilant loyalists flock to Jagan

Hyderabad, November 04: Loyalists of the late YSR’s family, who strongly opposed the move for an alliance between the Congress and the Praja Rajyam of Chiranjeevi, flocked to the residence of Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy at Begumpet here today.

Tasting their `first success’ against forces inimical to Jagan becoming chief minister, several ministers, parliamentarians, legislators and other leaders met the son of the late YSR to express their solidarity with him. They included ministers P Sabita Reddy, B Srinivasa Reddy, P Subhash Chandra Bose and K Venkat Reddy, Parliament member K Rajagopal Reddy and several MLAs.

They were jubilant over the break-up of an yetto- form alliance between the Congress and PRP to contest the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections. A majority of them were all praise for the candid remarks made by Agriculture Minister N Raghuveera Reddy on the alliance. They want to keep up the `tempo’ and continue to convey their views to the party high command. They also discussed the strategies to be adopted by them if a similar situation were to arise in future.

Meanwhile, ministers D Prasada Rao, G Venkat Reddy, M Venkata Ramana, P Vishwarup and others met the late YSR’s close aide and Rajya Sabha member KVP Ramachandra Rao at the latter’s residence in the morning, and are learnt to have discussed the prevailing political situation in the State.

In another development, Malaysian Tourism Minister Manikumar Subramanian met Jagan at his residence and consoled him following the sudden demise of his father in a helicopter crash on September 2.
