Tension prevailed during the rally taken out by Telangana journalists when the police stopped the rally taken out from Gun Park when it was heading towards secretariat. As mark of the protest the journalists tried to picket the assembly. After police’s action journalists sat on the road in protest. Tension prevailed as a result of clash between police and journalists. Some women journalists also staged sit-in in front of the office of Director General of Police.
It must be noted that the journalist staged the protest as they were denied permission to attend the programme on the occasion of Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh’s visit to Hyderabad.
