Hyderabad: Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily while addressing Eid Milap Function organized by Telangana Union of Urdu Journalist at Hotel Mirjan International, Nampally. He congratulated the journalists and highlighted various welfare schemes of Siasat Urdu Daily. He mentioned that Siasat Urdu Daily through its Millath Fund extends help to poor Muslim students, arranges burials of destitute Muslim dead bodies and other activities. He also mentioned that there is a plan of constructing Old Age Home.
He advised the organizers to invited Muslims on the occasions of Deepavali and other functions so that a congenial atmosphere of National Integration could be develop.
Mr. Naveen Mittal, Commissioner, Dept. of Information and Public Relations told that Journalism is a very pious profession. Journalists are viewed in society with greater esteem. He further told that Journalists in addition to providing news items can also play an important role by publishing informative and reformative articles in their newspapers.
Mr. Alam Mehdi, President of the Union also addressed the gathering. Present on this occasion were Mr. Ranga Sai, Editor, Sky land, Mr. Veenugopal Sharma, President, Telangana Small and Medium Newspapers Associations. Mr. Mohammed Abdul Majeed Khan, Senior TRS leader also addressed the gather. Mr. Hadi Raheel, President of the reception committee welcomed the guests. Mr. Syed Wajid Mahmood and Mr. Ahmed Siddiqui Mukesh garlanded the guests. Mr. Mohammed Rafiuddin Ghori, General Secretary proposed vote of thanks. A Mushaira of humour poets was also held on this occasion.
