Mehboobnagar, February 28: A blood donation camp was organised by Working Journalists Co-operative House Building Society of Palamoor here on Sunday. Over 50 Journalists donated blood on the occasion.
Highlighting schemes
Inaugurating the blood donation camp, District Collector M. Purushotham Reddy exhorted the media persons to highlight the various welfare and developmental schemes taken up by the district administration apart from writing about failures of the administration.
He also asked the press persons to take clarification from the concerned officer before filing the failure of a welfare scheme.
House sites
The Collector said that the donated blood will save the lives of persons who were in critical condition. Referring to the welfare of journalists, the Collector informed that steps were being taken to provide house sites to eligible journalists in the district.
Palamoor Co-operative House Building Society (APUWJ) president M. Goverdhan, secretary Baswaraj and other journalists also participated.
