Jamshedpur, April 15: Kerala’s Josco Football Club, defeated Sesa Football Academy of Goa 4-1, while Malabar United and Maharasthra’s Kenkre Football Club were locked in a goalless draw in the AIFF second division I-league qualifying round matches here today.
Exhibiting good combination and accurate passes, Josco FC dominated the proceedings right from the kick off and surge ahead 1-0 through a brilliant field goal by Nigerian mid-fielder Jeribe Kelechi in the 20th minute.
Sesa regrouped immediately after the goal and intensified their attack when Augustin Fernandes netted the equaliser in the 35th minute at the Keenan Stadium.
Both the team, which have identical four points before this match, pulled up their shocks after the change of ends and started attacking.
Both the teams had couple of opportunities to score but they failed to latch on to them.
