Seeking quick revenge for the killing of a Jordanian hostage by the Islamic State (IS), Amman is set to execute an IS militant on death row over a failed bombing.
A security official said that the death sentence pending on Iraqi militant Sajida al-Rishawi will be carried out at dawn, reported News 24.
Rishawi, was sentenced to death for her role in a terror attack in Amman in 2005. The IS had offered to spare the life of Jordanian fighter pilot, Lieutenant Maaz al-Kassasbeh , if she was freed.
However, the group released a video online that showed the pilot standing in a cage engulfed in flames, even before a prisoner swap could take place.
