Jerusalem, January 15: Jordanian security forces have arrested a taxi driver who is suspected of involvement in Thursday’s bomb attack on an Israeli diplomatic convoy in Jordan.
According to a report by the al-Arabiya news network, the suspect was apprehended overnight Thursday.
The blast took place at around 5 p.m. (1500 GMT) close to the Allenby Bridge crossing between Jordan and the occupied Palestinian territory of West Bank on Thursday afternoon.
No one was hurt in the incident and the vehicles continued to their destination shortly thereafter.
The Israeli embassy in Amman is one of the most highly guarded Israeli embassies in the world.
