Washington D.C., Oct.12 : Jon Landau, who has produced many hit films, has now become the advocate of the film industry in New Zealand.
The 56-year-old film producer, along with his partner James Cameron, has been appointed to the New Zealand Screen Advisory Board, Stuf.co.nz reports.
Both men will not only facilitate opportunities, but will also advise filmmakers on ways to develop international productions on home soil.
Talking about his experiences, the ‘Titanic’ producer, who had spent six months in New Zealand, said that “We’ve experienced what is here first hand, we came on the first Avatar movie, adding that they were impressed by the passion of crew and the artistry they brought to the film making process.
Landau and Cameron will also produce three ‘Avatar’ sequels in New Zealand. (ANI)
