Washington: American actor Jon Favreau, who is set to write and executive produce an original, live-action scripted Star Wars TV series, revealed that his new show will be called ‘The Mandalorian.’
The ‘Iron Man’ star took to his Instagram and the unveiled the title, writing, “After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.”
Featuring new characters, the show is set seven years after the events of 1983’s ‘Return of the Jedi.
The actor-director had earlier played roles in the animated series ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars and in Solo: A Star Wars Story.’
