Washington: ‘Walking Dead’ star Jon Bernthal is all set to return to the Season 9 of the zombie drama for an episode.
The star will reprise his role as Shane, just in time for Andrew Lincoln’s exit, confirmed The Hollywood Reporter.
Earlier, the actor played the role of a former police officer Shane Walsh in the first two seasons of the show. In the TV adaptation of the comic series, Shane died during an altercation with Rick Grimes (Lincoln), his former fellow officer and longtime best friend.
He later returned as a walker and was swiftly killed permanently by the late Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs).
The circumstances of Bernthal’s return remain unknown.
