‘Joker’ to release in India and Pakistan simultaneously

Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Joker’ is the next big Bollywood film to release in Pakistan tomorrow after Salman Khan’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Agent Vinod’ was banned in the country.

Directed by Shirish Kunder and starring Akshay, Sonakshi Sinha, Shreyas Talpade, Minissha Lamba and Chitrangda Singh, the film is releasing simultaneously in India and Pakistan tomorrow.

We are really happy that ‘Joker’ is releasing in India and Pakistan simultaneously. ‘Joker’ is an universal film that we feel will be enjoyed by the entire family.

It’s a clean wholesome entertainer that has got U certificates in both countries. We are really excited,” film’s
producer Farah Khan said in a statement.

The story of the film revolves around the village of Paglapur. An NRI returns home to discover that his village has dropped off the map of India. To put it back on the map he teams up with crazy villagers and aliens.

The censor board in Pakistan had banned Saif’s ‘Agent Vinod’ and Salman starrer ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ because they had
references about the ISI.
