Saudi Arabia and India have decided to form a joint committee to address all problems facing Indians working in the Gulf Arab nation, the Al Eqtisadiya newspaper reported on Monday.
The decision was made here on Sunday during the visit of India” s Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi.
The two sides have agreed to have more transparent recruitment policies for Indians in Saudi Arabia, the paper said, quoting Ravi, who also said there will be a memorandum of understanding for the best interests of employers and employees of both countries.
About 2.4 million Indians are currently living in Saudi Arabia, official figures showed. (Xinhua-ANI)
