The unity Muslims, Daliths and Backward classes is the need of the hour in Telangana region. In the proposed Telangana State 90% of the population consists of Muslims, Daliths and Backward classes. Dalith leader, Mr. Krishna Madiga and President of RLDK, Mr. Riyazuddin met Mr. Mohd Mustaq Malik, President of Muslim Shibban at Sadaqat House in Malakpet and sought the cooperation of the Muslims for forging a United Forum of Daliths, Muslims and Backward classes. These leaders discussed various issues for two hours. Earlier Mr. Baliya Naik President of Lambada Porata Samithi, Prof. Chari, Prof. Ranganath and other leaders also met Mohammed Mustaq Ali, and discuss various issues. They told that the leadership of Higher caste people has damaged the cause of Muslims in the fields of Education and Economy. They have instigated the backward classes against the Muslims. They further told that the communal forces like RSS and other outfits of Sangh pariwar could be fought only by uniting the Muslims and Dalit. RSS is trying to spread communalism in such a case, the Muslim leader to think how to foil their evil designs. In Govt. jobs and in contracts Muslims have no share whereas the people parties gain strength on account of Muslim votes.
Mr. Mustaaq Malik told that the Muslims are prepared to become part of this great unity. We will fight jointly to get our rights.
Dalith leaders told that they have been labeled as Hindus but in fact they are not hindus. Prof. Chari stressed this point.
It was suggested that Joint meetings, seminars and round table conferences should be organized in districts for forging dalith-Muslim unity. They told that Mr. Zaheer Uddin Ali Khan, Managing Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily, had attended the Round Table Conference on 6th Novemeber in Saidabad, the results of which are now coming forward. Mr. M.A. Basith, former Chairman of Standing Committee of GHMC is visiting the districts to campaign for Dalith- Muslim unity. It was decided to hold a large scale conference on social justice in Hyderabad.
