New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi said on Monday that joining politics was her first tough decision.
“Whether to join politics or not was the first tough decision that I took,” Sonia Gandhi said in an interview to India Today news channel at the Swaraj Bhavan in Allahabad.
She also said that she would not have been in politics if she was not the daughter-in-law of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
“I would not have been in politics if I was not the daughter-in-law of Indira Gandhi,” she said.
Sonia Gandhi is the longest serving chief of the party, having taken over the post in 1998.
