Indian icon Sachin Tendulkar today paid tribute to retiring Australian pacer Mitchell Johnson, describing him as a special bowler.
“Good luck to @MitchJohnson398 who has always been a special bowler. Got to know him well at @mipaltan and enjoyed his aggressive approach!” Tendulkar tweeted about the cricketer who played for Mumbai Indians as well in his IPL stint.
Johnson today announced that he would retire from international cricket at the end of the ongoing Test against New Zealand in Perth.
The 34-year-old will end his Test career after playing 73 match in which he took 310 wickets with 8/61 being his best effort.
In a 154-match ODI career, Johnson snared 239 scalps with 6/31 being his best.
