BC Welfare Minister Jogu Ramanna today paid rich tributes to Jyothibha Phule on his 192nd birth anniversary. He garlanded the statue at a program in Amberpet here. Speaking on the occasion Ramanna said that Phule was a social reformer who vied for providing education to women and for welfare of the poor. The minister claimed that the TRS Government is emulating the ideals of Phule and implementing several welfare schemes for the poor, BCs, Dalits, Tribals and Minorities. Only KCR Government in the country is spending huge funds for the welfare he said. (NSS)
