In a gruesome incident, a 60-year-old woman was brutally murdered by her own son.
The incident took place in Vidhyuth Nagar of Weaker Sections Colony in Sanathnagar police limits on Monday morning. According to police, the deceased, Laxmi’s son Shiva intercepted her near the railway track close to their residence and asked her to handover Rs 60,000 cash which she was carrying to some place. On refusal, he allegedly beat her up and smashed her head with a boulder leading to her instantaneous death. He later fled from the scene by snatching away the cash.
Shiva was jobless and was addicted to bad habits.
Police registered a case of murder for gain against Shiva and launched a manhunt to nab him. (INN)
