Hyderabad, October 13: A fake recruiting agent was nabbed for trying to dupe an IT-based company in the city by impersonating a prospective recruit into the company.
According to the vice-president (operations) of Digital Nirvana, an IT and ITes company at Banjara Hills, John K John, a person identified as Kranthi Lal appeared for an interview on Friday and got selected.
However, on Monday morning another person by the same name with the same documents came to the office. Company officials verified and found that Kranthi Lal was sent by an agent, Mukesh, for taking the offer letter of the company.
Mukesh was caught and handed over to the Banjara Hills police but Kranthi Lal managed to flee.
