Union Urban Planning Secretary Sudhir Krishna on Tuesday said that the second phase of Jawaharlal Nehru Urban Renewal Mission draft plan was under the study of Inter-Ministerial Group and the report would be finalized within two months.
Talking to media persons at the National Remote Sensing Agency at Balanagar, Sudhir Krishna said that 102 projects have been completed in the first phase of JNNURM in the state out of 253. Stating that total cost of the project stood at Rs 12525.66 crore, he said that State’s share was at Rs 1,918.78 crore and Urban local bodies share including the beneficiary contribution stood at Rs 4,095.83 crore. He said that the 111 projects would be completed within March 2014.
He said that outer ring roads would play crucial role in the development of every city. He asked the State Government to plan ring roads for every city and town for their proper development. (INN)
