JNU violence: Police gets vital clues on masked goons

New Delhi: The JNU mob attack by masked goons that has left many students as well as teachers severally injured was condemned by many, the Police after registering FIR against the JNUSU president and 19 others seems to have finally worked out the identity of the masked attackers.

Previously the Delhi Police has named the JNSU president Aishe Ghosh in the FIR as the key person to incite violence in the campus, TOI reports.

According to recent reports, the Police have found some vital clues connected to the mob attack who unleashed violence inside the campus on Sunday.

With inputs of large-scale mobilization of students and teachers on the JNU campus, the police were extra vigilant on Wednesday.

Masked goons entered the campus armed with iron rods, sticks unleashing violence at the students and teachers.

The silent protest turned into a bloodbath with at least 35 including the president severely injured, and campus property damaged.

The injured were admitted to the AIIMS trauma centre and Safdarjung Hospital here and have since been discharged.
