JNTU exam racket busted, 8 held including workers

Hyderabad, April 27: 8 persons involved in Engineering answer booklet scam including four outsourcing employees are held and Rs 3.45 lakh, 17 answer sheets, eight cell phones and a motorcycle were seized from their possession.

It is said that 22 year old Shaikh Manju Malik who is a student of B.Tech in a private engineering college contacted two outsourcing employees D Prushutam and M Narender belonging to JNTU and induced them to change the answer booklets.

Police told that Banoth Mangilal works as a lift operator at JNTU. Similarly Malik, Parshuram, Narender, Bheemudu and Mangilal who work as a gang obtained details of students such as their hall ticket number, college name and subject details on its basis they collected the answer booklets from the office of controller of examination and later changed those answer sheets.

Police told that Shaikh Manju Malik, D Parshuram, M Narender, Banoth Mangilal, V Nagarjuna Reddy, L Sarat Chanda, B Sai Bharat have been arrested and remanded into police custody along with the seized items.
