Baripada (Orissa), February 06: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha today launched a scathing attack on the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre, accusing it of being a “betrayer”.
“Congress party sought our support for survival. After succeeded in doing so, they conspired against us and betrayed us,” said Hemant Soren, Deputy Chief Minister of Jharkhand and JMM leader.
Addressing a rally at Gurundia in Mayurbhanj district, Hemant attacked the UPA government for “betraying” his father Shibu Soren by dropping him from the Union cabinet and then conspiring to remove him from the chief ministership of Jharkhand.
In 2004, the UPA Government had asked Soren to resign from the union council of ministers following a non-bailable arrest warrant issued against him in connection with 1975 Chirrudih massacre.
Shibu Soren has been acquitted in the case.
