JMI & AMU will get minority status if our party comes to power: Sheila Dixit

New Delhi: In an interview to the ‘Inquilab’, former chief minister of Delhi Sheila Dixit said the main rival of Congress is BJP but since AAP is also in the fray so they are fighting against it too. She admitted that she was not in favour of the alliance. Because Congress is a big party hence it should go solo, she said.

Saying that she fulfills whatever promises she makes, Sheila Dixit said if we form government at the Centre we will do justice, will implement minimum income scheme, fill the vacant post, adopt strict attitude towards illegal occupation of Waqf lands, remove encroachments on Waqf lands, will give minority status to Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) and will give constitutional status to Minority Commission.
