Srinagar, August 09: Employees of the Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation today deferred their proposed strike tomorrow following an assurance by Minister for Transport Qamar Ali Akhoon that the state government is aware of their problems and will solve them.
The assurance was given by the minister to a deputation of SRTC workers union led by its president Shakeel Ahmad Kuchey here today, official sources said.
Akhoon stressed the maintenance of better coordination between workers and management to bring the corporation back on track.
