JKLF protest for imposing Public Safety Act on Yasin Malik

Kashmir: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) protested in Maisuma area of Srinagar after Friday prayers against detaining JLKF chief Mohammad Yasin Malik under Public Safety Act (PSA) and imposing a ban of Jamaat-e-Islami.

Protesters demand the immediate release of Yasin Malik. Earlier in February last week, Malik was arrested by the police on the late night. The police had apprehended him from his Maisuma residence.

JKLF also protested against the ban on Jamaat-e-Islami imposed by the central government. The government banned it under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act for a period of five years and later the authorities on Thursday sealed the Jamaat-e-Islamia Central Office at Batamaloo in Srinagar.
