Jammu, April 26: Jammu and Kashmir High court today issued notices to suspended BJP MLAs on a Public Interest Petition seeking registration of a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act and prosecution of the legislators in an alleged vote-for-cash scam.
After hearing senior advocate Anil Sethi in connection with PIL filed by an NGO, a two-member bench of the High Court comprising Justice Hasnain Massodi and Justice Virender Singh ordered issuance of notices to 7 suspended BJP MLAs, the state government and the Secretary of the assembly returnable within two weeks.
“I had appeared in support of PIL. The court issued notices to the BJP MLAS, Secretary of J & K Assembly and State Chief Secretary”, senior Advocate Anil Sethi said.
