JK Govt transfers 19 senior administrative officers

Jammu, January 07: In a major reshuffle, Jammu and Kashmir Government today transferred 19 officials in the administration, including four Principal Secretaries and five Commissioners/Secretaries.

These transfers and postings were approved by the state cabinet at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah here, an official statement said.

Mohammad Iqbal Khandey, Director General of IMPA has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary to the government in Agriculture Production Department.

Dr Arun Kumar, Principal Secretary, Information and Technology has been transferred and posted as Chairman J&K Special Tribunal.

Sonali Kumar, Principal Secretary of Agriculture Production Department has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary (Coordination) J&K Government, New Delhi.

R K Jerath, Financial Commissioner of Revenue has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary in Health and Medical Education department.

Suresh Kumar has been posted as Commissioner/Secretary in Housing and Urban Development department.
