Jammu: The BJP-PDP coalition government of Jammu and Kashmir was committed to resolve the issues that are being faced by the displaced Kashmiri Pandit community including their early and dignified rehabilitation, advisor to the chief minister Prof Amitabh Mattoo said here today.
Mattoo visited the Kashmiri Pandit Migrant Camp (Jagti Township) and took stock of problems being faced by residents.
He said that the coalition government under the leadership of Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is committed to resolve all issues that impinge on the day-to-day living of the residents, and ensuring their early and dignified rehabilitation.
Mattoo stressed upon the migrant community to be united for early redress of their genuine problems.
The Advisor to the Chief Minister said the Kashmiri Pandits are an intrinsic part of the valley and necessary mechanism has already been put in place to ensure that they are rehabilitated in a proper and dignified manner.
“There is no greater visionary than the present Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed in this regard and the Prime Minister has also announced a comprehensive package encompassing their relief and rehabilitation”, he said.
The Advisor assured the residents of the township that all their genuine problems would be redressed in time bound manner by taking them up with the concerned authorities and departments.
