An 18-year-old girl was set ablaze by a ‘lover’ on Friday morning in Saidabad for refusing to marry him.
According to Saidabad police the victim who is an MBA student had insisted the girl (who is also an MBA student) to marry him, but the the girl refuses the proposal.
Snubbed by her refusal, the youth allegedly set her on fire. Even as the two were engaged in a conversation, the boy doused her with petrol and set her ablaze. Later the boy also set himself on fire.
Both have been admitted to hospital with severe burn injuries and the girl condition is reported to be critical.
