Utkoor: Foot March was conducted at various localities of Utkoor, led by City President Jamat-e-Islami Hind, Utkoor, Mr. Abdul Khaliq Kalwal. The Padyatra was organised as part of countrywide Peace and Humanity Campaign launched by Jamat-e-Islami Hind.
A large number of non-Muslim brothers of Utkoor participated in the programme including Mr. Shankaraiah President Lok Satta Committee, Mr. Vijay Bhaskar President Madega Sangampura Samithi, state unit presidents Gopal Reddy, Tripti, C Gurunath Rao and others.
Booklets, pamphlets and stickers on peace and humanity were also distributed on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Parveen Kumar, Sub inspector of police Utkoor said that love and humanity is the key to development hence people should live with harmony. He said our country India is an exemplary country where people of diverse culture live. India is the symbol of unity in diversity. He said democracy is the basic right of a human being. Every person can lead a life according to his will. He exhorted people to respect each others religion.
A large number of Hindu and Muslim intellectuals were present on the occasion.
