Ranchi, Dec 11: The fourth round of the five-phase Jharkhand assembly elections will be held tomorrow amid heightened security and air surveillance.
As many as 24,62,850 voters will decide the electoral fortune of 233 candidates in fray from 14 seats–Bahragora, Ghatsila, Potka, Ichagarh, Majhgaon, Manoharpur, Torpa, Sisai, Chakradharpur, Gumla, Bishunpur, Simdega, Kolebira and Lohardaga.
Maoists, who have given an election boycott call, have huge presence in all the 14 constituencies. Adequate reserve strike forces are there to face any eventuality, IGP V H Desmukh said.
Out of the total 81 seats, polling for 51 seats had been completed in the previous three phases. The final phase will be held on December 18.
Results will be announced on December 23.
