Jharkhand CM Soren calls on PM Modi in Delhi

New Delhi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Saturday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital at his residence and discussed the state-related issues.

According to a Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader, the first meeting between Soren with Modi was a courtesy call after he was sworn in as the Chief Minister of the state on December 29.

He said the two leaders discussed the state-specific issues at the meeting held at Modi’s residence here.

The JMM-Congress-RJD combine in the mineral-rich state stormed to power as it won 47 out of 81 seats in the recently held assembly elections. The ruling BJP was reduced to 24 seats in the state.
