Project Blossoming, a creative jewelry initiative to raise awareness and funds for the cause of girl education is showcasing its jewelry collection by leading jewellers here till May 4 at Tibarumals Jewellers store at Deccan Towers, Basheerbagh here.
The project plans to raise funds through charity auction of stunning jewels commissioned by Gemfields and conceptualised and created by India’s biggest jewellery houses, said Sanjay Gupta, Director, Tibarumals Jewellers; Anwesha Dutta, Marketing Manager, Gemfields; Jolly MC, DGM, Nanhi Kali Donor Servicing and Dr Preetha Bhakta, Head, Education Research & Learning Initiatives, Nandi Foundation here.
The Project Blossoming collection comprising 12 jewelry items by ten of India’s leading jewelers will tour India, visiting each of the ten designer’s boutiques and New York, before returning to Mumbai on June 6 where the collection will be auctioned by International auction house Christie’s at an exclusive black-tie event. The proceeds raised from the sale will go directly to the noble cause of support a minimum of 2,000 girls. Bollywood Actress Chitrangada Singh is the global ambassador for Project Blossoming.
Anwesha Dutta, Marketing Manager, Gemfields, world’s leading supplier of responsibly sourced colored gemstones said. Project Blossoming believes that all children have the ability to flourish, and with love and support they will blossom to realize their full potential. The objective of the project is to raise further awareness and funds to support Project Nanhi Kali in building an educated and literate female population. The minimum reserve price for the jewelry items is from Rs 24 lakh to Rs 90 lakh. “With this initiative, we plan to raise our minimum commitment of Rs 50 lakh to Nanhi Kali but we expect to go much beyond this at the auction”, she added.
Apart from Tibarumals Jewellers, the other jewellers chosen from across the country in the Project Blossoming are: Abaran Jewellers (Bengaluru); Amrapali (Jaipur); Anmol Jewellers (Mumbai); Hazoorilal (New Delhi); LalaJugal Kishore Jewellers (Lucknow); Mirari (New Delhi); Moksh (Mumbai); Narayan Jewellers (Vadodara); and Talwarsons Jewellers (Chandigarh). The Project Blossoming collection comprises of Necklaces, Earrings, Brooch, Pendent, Necklace and Earring sets, Bracelet, and Cuffs.
