New Delhi, September 05: An elderly jeweller was killed and his son critically injured here after six motorcycle-borne men fired at them and stabbed them before fleeing with some valuables, police said today.
The incident was reported from north-west Delhi’s Tagore Park late last night and the deceased was identified as Sohan Lal Chauhan (65). His 25-year-old son Rahul also suffered critical injuries in the incident.
The father-son duo were returning to their house in Mukherjee Nagar in their scooter when they were asked to stop by six men on two motorcycles near Tagore Park on the pretext of asking some address, a senior police official said.
The moment they stopped, the official said, the robbers took out firearms and knives and asked them to hand over whatever they were carrying.
