Jet Airways flight too had mosquitoes on-board!

New Delhi: Amidst news of Indigo flight passenger de-boarded from the plane for complaining about mosquitos, another airline is caught in controversy for having not just passengers but also mosquitos on board.

A 48-second clip of passengers swatting mosquitos using newspapers, safety advisory fliers is doing internet rounds, Times Now reported.

The video was posted by Jet Airways onboard passenger Chaudhary Charan Singh at the International Airport in Lucknow on Sunday.

Responding to the incident Jet Airways released an official statement which read: “We have taken this up with our cabin appearance team for review. We sincerely regret the inconvenience.”

On Monday, a passenger named Dr Saurabh Rai was de-boarded from IndiGo flight which was heading to Bengaluru.

However, the Airlines said Dr Saurabh Rai “was offloaded on grounds of unruly behavior. Prior to take-off, Rai, expressed concerns regarding mosquitos on board. However, before the cabin crew on board could address his concerns, Rai aggressively expressed his annoyance and started to use threatening language.”

It also issued a statement regarding the incident which read: “As the matter escalated after the closure of the aircraft doors, Rai attempted to instigate other passengers on board to damage the aircraft, and used words such as ‘hijack’. Such actions are absolutely unacceptable, and there is zero tolerance for such threatening language on board an aircraft. Hence, keeping in mind applicable safety protocols, the crew apprised the pilot-in-command, who decided to offload Rai from the flight.”

Meanwhile, the Bengaluru-based cardiologist had alleged that the Indigo flight was full of mosquitoes and that the crew members had manhandled him for complaining.

“The IndiGo flight from Lucknow to Bengaluru was full of mosquitoes. When I raised an objection, I was manhandled by the crew and offloaded from the aircraft. I was even threatened,” he said.
