Former Congress minister Jeevan Reddy on Saturday criticised the statement of Rajya Sabha member of Telugu Desam Party T Devender Goud saying that Telangana people suffered major injustice during the regime of former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
Talking to media persons at the Congress Legislature Party Office, Jeevan Reddy denied Goud’s allegations and claimed that the Telangana region was developed well on all fronts during the regime of Rajasekhara Reddy. Stating that the credit for construction of Pranahita-Chevella irrigation projects goes to the YSR, he said that Naidu, who laid the foundation for Devadula project, ignored the project later. However, YSR completed the Devadula project and provided irrigation and drinking water facility for many districts in the Telangana region.
Jeevan Reddy also said that the credit for construction of Sri Ram Sagar Project and Ellampally projects also goes to YSR. He asked TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu to disclose details of projects and development works, which took place during his regime. (INN)
