CLP Deputy leader T Jeevan Reddy today asked the State government to withdraw seizure of Arunakka’s Arunodaya Cultural Federation by the Telangana State police recently.
During the Zero Hour on Monday in the Assembly today, Jeevan Reddy said the Arunodaya Cultural Federation worked on par with any Telangana protagonist during the Telangana movement. He said even Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had praised the songs sung by Vimalakka and written by her husband Amar. But after the formation of the separate Telangana State, the Kamareddy police sealed Arunodaya Cultural Federation office here in the City. Jeevan Reddy said the police didn’t find any banned literature or any arms in the office. The police sealed the office without issuing any warrant, he said. He also asked the State government to withdraw the seizure of Vimalakka’s office.
The State government said it would send a written answer to Jeevan Reddy in this regard. (NSS)
