Alleging that there were big heads behind the Miyapur land scam, besides Gold Stone Prasad, Congress senior leader T Jeevan Reddy said that it will not be possible for the CID to inquire in to it and find the names of the big fish involved.
Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Jeevan Reddy said that the state government was not making the names registered on 690 acres land public and demanded the state government to release a white paper on the issue. He asked the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to intervene in the issue or else one could think that his hand too was there in the issue.
Demanding the Chief Minister to order CBI inquiry into the Miyapur land scam to make the facts public, Jeevan Reddy suggested the Chief Minister to prove his sincerity. He made it clear that the Congress party will not keep quiet if the government failed to order proper inquiry and warned that the party would approach Courts and launch public movements. He said that the Miyapur land scam was similar to slain gangster Nayeem case, voter for note case and EAMCET leakage case and asked the government not to water down the Miyapur land scam case. He asked the state government to tell as to why it was not arresting the Legislative Council Deputy Chairman Nethi Vidyasagar though the government knew that the latter had links with Nayeem. (NSS)
