Lucknow, June 20: Now the jeans are banned for girls in Kanpur and Kota colleges. The ban applies to students as well as teachers. First students violating the rule would be let off with a warning and teachers would have to pay Rs 100 every time they disobey.
In some other co-ed colleges of Kanpur, jeans and mobiles are banned in college campus for boys. For the coming sessions in the colleges a dress code has been introduced.
Girls are not allowed to wear outfits like skirts, jeans, tight and sleeveless tops in the college campus. According to college management, the dress code has been introduced to in view of the safety of the girls.
Also teachers would not be allowed to wear sleeveless blouse and use mobiles in the colleges.
