Melbourne, March 25: AN Adelaide woman who killed her husband by dousing him with petrol and setting him on fire will be sentenced next month.
Rajini Narayan was found not guilty of murdering 47-year-old Satish Narayan in December 2008 but guilty of his manslaughter.
Narayan had previously admitted she snapped and, in a momentary loss of control, threw petrol and a lit candle onto her husband’s back after learning he had been having an affair.
In earlier submissions, Justice John Sulan of the South Australian Supreme Court said the victim’s conduct was a mitigating factor in sentencing.
Narayan is due to be sentenced on April 13.
