Jealous Chandrababu stalling Kaleshwaram: Harish

Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today accused Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of getting envious at the speedy completion of Kaleshwaram project.

Participating in a program in Siddipet, the minister sought to know what Chandrababu would lose if the TRS completed its projects. He expressed surprise over the TDP government for complaining against the Kaleshwaram project in Delhi. Though no loss would occur to his State, Chandrababu Naidu was making deliberate attempts to stall the works of the Kaleshwaram project, he fumed. “Our officials and work agencies were working day and night for its completion and the AP Government was not able to digest it, he charged. The Centre has accorded all permissions to the project which is on fast pace, he noted.

“Our dream”, he said, was to irrigate one crore acres and entire machinery working as per the vision of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to complete all irrigation projects. Telangana will get its rightful share of 954 tmc of Godavari waters, he said. “We got the statehood for the share of waters and the TDP Government was coming in the way of Telangana projects”, Harish rebutted. Chandrababu first tried to sabotage statehood for Telangana and now stalling the project works he fumed. In spite of such hurdles the TRS dispensation will go ahead with its plan to complete all the projects he reiterated. Chandrababu should abstain from such deceitful tactics and extend a helping hand he suggested. (NSS)
