JDS to expose Yeddyurappa’s illegal wealth: Kumaraswamy

Shimoga, December 13: Karnataka unit JDS President H D Kumaraswamy today said his party would soon expose the “illegal” wealth acquired by Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa by “misusing” his office.

“People of the state had been regretting the decision of supporting Yeddyurappa to become Chief Minister in the last election,” Kumarswamy said addressing a gathering at Theerthahalli after launching his party’s poll campaign for the Zilla and Taluk Panchayat polls.

Yeddyurappa had announced that he would confiscate the lands owned by former prime minister and his father H D Devegowda’s family in Hassan, but so far could not establish any irregularity, Kumaraswamy said.

Facing a spate of charges hurled by Kumaraswamy over the land denotification issue, Yeddyurappa had alleged Gowda’s family has acquired 82.01 acres of land violating Land Reforms Act and his government would reclaim it and distribute among farmers.
