JC MAY RETIRE FROM ACTIVE POLITICS FOR SON

Former minister and Anantapur senior Congress leader JC Diwakar Reddy’s younger brother JC Prabhakar Reddy on Tuesday said they were contemplating to change the party following tremendous pressure from their constituents. He also said they (JC brothers) were planning to baptize their sons into politics as it needs young blood.
Speaking to the media, Prabhakar Reddy said though there were rumors that they were contemplating to leave Congress and join TDP or YSR Congress or BJP, they did not meet any party towards that end. Though it was painful to leave the Congress party in which they worked for decades, he said they were being pressurized by their followers to bid an adieu to the ruling party as it was bent upon dividing the State. Therefore, they were thinking of changing the party, he said, adding that his brother Diwakar Reddy was more popular in Anantapur than the Congress.
Asked about the future plans of his elder brother, Prabhakar Reddy said his brother wanted to retire from active politics and introduce their children.
It may be mentioned that there were reports that Diweakar Reddy’s son Pawan Kumar Reddy will be contesting from Tadipatri Assembly constituency in the ensuing 2014 elections.(NSS)
