Jayasudha continues tirade against Mayor

Hyderabad, June 06: Continuing her tirade against Mayor Banda Karthika Reddy, Secunderabad MLA Jayasudha Kapoor today sought an explanation from Mayor to know why senior party workers were not nominated as members of ward committees as proposed by her.

The sulking MLA drove to GHMC head office to meet the Mayor in the afternoon and spent almost half-an-hour with Karthika Reddy. Jayasudha wanted to know from the Mayor why the names proposed by her for Chilkalguda Division were not considered.

The Mayor explained to the MLA that it was the responsiblity of the Chilkaguda corporator, P Meera, to include the names of the members proposed by her but it was not done due to some communication gap. Jayasudha seems to be convinced by the Mayor’s explanation.

Jayasudha called on Chief Minister K Rosaiah in the morning. The Chief Minister is reported to have told her to settle the matter between themselves or with APCC president D Srinivas.

Later, Jayasudha told reporters that her visit to Mayor’s office was not in connection with her differences with Banda Chandra Reddy. “That issue is different and I will take it up with APCC president today. I came here today to find out ways to do justice to genuine party workers, many workers who toiled hard for the party could not find place in the ward committees. I am finding it hard to convince them,” she said.

The party workers in Tarnaka and Chilkalguda were upset and demoralised, the MLA said.
